Having read all the Dirk Pitt Novels, I had very high expectations from Atlantis Found. The Book Exceeded them from the first page!! I thought the premise of a Comet strike in the far past likely, and believable.
True to form, just when you think you have the plot in hand, Cussler twists things around and you find you Still don't have a clue as to where the book is going. The description of the abandoned mines, and water slowly filling them is hair raising, and chilling. The plot, as it unfolds is so believable as to give you nightmares!!
The twist in the ending is different from all other Dirk Pitt books, so be ready to be shocked!!
A True Masterpiece!!
