Thanks to forkids latest kiddie book review, Mr. Wolf's Pancakes, I recalled a site that my good bud expono (Mr., in this case) e-mailed me about a couple weeks ago. Forkids did us a service by providing several different price points for the book she reviewed (from 3 different websites). Even better, imagine if you could compare prices at dozens of websites for any book you wished to purchase. Well you can, at evenbetter.com.
Not only will their search engine list dozens of online sites for any book (or music or video) you query, but it calculates shipping and tax, if applicable, into the comparison. It then ranks total cost to you, by vendor. You can do a search for just one book, or you can price a “basket of books” to compare total cost for a larger purchase. (evenbetterexpress offers the same service for software & hardware).
An error listing of sites it was unable to verify a cost on follows the listing as well.

MSRP is $15.95.
Results: Total cost (including tax & shipping) ranged from $14.46 to $34.65 depending on vendor & shipping options. The cheapest base price: $10.69 was not the lowest total cost, due to higher shipping.
All in all, if you know what you are looking for, it’s worth checking out this engine before any on-line book purchase is finalized. You may save a few bucks for a few seconds of your time.
