This mystery series sounds good. Unfortunately you did not mention which book was first in the series.
Based on your review I telnetted to my local Public Library and put "Thyme of death : a mystery introducing China Bayles" on hold. Hopefully it is the first book in the series.
You might want to reply to this and let everyone know which book is first in the series!
