Pros: one of Vonnegut's "normal" novels Cons: one of Vonnegut's "normal" novels
Summary: I've finally read all of Kurt Vonnegut's novels from the classic "Slaughterhouse Five" to the disappointing "God Bless You Mr. Rosewater." And I may surprise many of his fans by pronouncing "Mother Night" to be his ... read more

Pros: vonnugut has tons of great books! Cons: none that I can think of!

Pros: The insight of life Cons: You may not want to look too close
Summary: Kurt Vonnegut Jr's Cat's Cradle is a book with an in depth view on the world and all of its ideas. The questions of the world's greatest weapons arise again and again. Then there is the ultimate question of what is life for and what is our purpose ... read more

Pros: Vonnegut is one of the funniest and most interesting writers of the century Cons: Some books meander too much, some ideas are too bizarre for certain readers
Summary: I agree, Hocus Pocus is not one of KV's better novels. I *did* read the whole thing in one sitting, from cover-to-cover, but in my opinion, it still pales in comparison to his best stuff.
My recommendations, in order (the best first), ... read more

Pros: Hey it's vonnegut!!! Cons: ummmm you might not appreciate good literature.
Summary: One of the most original ideas ever expanded into the literary realm Vonnegut plays with his own mind and ours in this story of a man writing a book about a man writing a book about important things that get published in strange places. Story telling is ... read more

Let me preface this with an apology to Kurt Vonnegut:

Pros: A fun and intelligent meditation upon art. Cons: The characters of Circe Berman and Paul Salzgiver are underused.
Summary: "Bluebeard"
I am, admittedly, at an impasse in my attempt to describe this book. Words to do so continually escape me. The novel is too intrinsically complex while appearing to be an instrument of childlike simplicity. But, as ... read more
