Pros: Fast and simple; No waiting at the store for your order Cons: Not always practical for everyone's needs
Kinko’s is the premier business and personal solutions company in the United States. Founded by Paul Orfalea in 1970, Mr. Orfalea named the company after a nickname that he was often referred, due to his curly red hair. He opened up his first copying ...

Pros: Prompts you to give all specs, paying online is quicker than at the store Cons: Slower process than emailing, communication with staff still necessary
I work for a nonprofit organization headquartered in the heart of Chicago's financial district. I'm not a dedicated graphic designer, but I end up designing most of the signage and publications for the organization to save money. Though I don't believe ...

Pros: Easy, can send files online and have them delivered without ever leaving your home. Cons: learning curve was long - but I had unique circumstances.
I have been to the Kinko's store hundreds of times. They are a wonderful place to make some quick copies. (and now you pay right at the copier with your credit card - I have gotten numerous credit card charges for whopping amounts like .58 cents....) K ...

Pros: inexpensive, professional, fast Cons: automated responses confuse customers
Kinko's Online.... I used to work for Kinko's so it seems like I should be able to be fair and pretty detailed.... and I can give you the inside facts on what happens to your work after you've done your part to get your job done, hopefully right and on...

Pros: Awesome customer service!! Cons: None
Recently, my usual graphic artist/printer left me hanging high and dry the day before my partners were to leave on a trade mission to Canada. We are a new, start-up company, who had invested a lot of money to go on this trip. The marketing trifold was...

Pros: When it works it works well Cons: When it doesn't work you still pay though the nose.
Let me start out with saying that my KINKO's is so bad we know have $1,000 in free service there. But this is a review of KINKO's Net. So I will not go into detail about the time they lost 4 boxes of documents and sent us someones novel instead. Nor ...

Pros: Should have been a seamless transaction that is promoted as their time saving service. Cons: Can't deliver the service and don't care that they are wasting customer time and effort.
I have just spent the better part of two hours trying to resolve an issue with the Kinkos FedEx store at 1215 E. 57th Street in Chicago. I used their online ordering system and uploaded a file for printing and binding then arranged for pick up at 1 ...

Pros: At least you can force your credit card company to give you a refund. Cons: Everything--they didn't do the work and didn't seem to care.
I used Kinko's (now part of FedEx) a few times over the last few years when I wanted to print something more than a few pages long--it was faster and cheaper than using up the ink in my printer at home. A few days ago, wanting to print 3 documents ...

Pros: GREAT FOR SOMEONE WHO ENJOYS DIFFICULT TASKS Cons: THIS COSTS A LOT AND GIVES YOU LITTLE!
When I was a teacher who needed a lot of things copied, I would use our local Kinko's store, a lot. I was not impressed with the work, even then. Then, our store needed business cards in a hurry. I tried the local Kinko's store and ended up paying more...

Pros: Not many. Cons: Bad service, disorganized staff.
Fiurst of all, Kinko's as a whole is suited only for making the average person more disorganized and frustrated than before. Which is why I hate them. I have been told numerous times at on store that I should seek out a nearby Mailboxes Etc., or some...

Pros: Online printing is a great idea. Someone should do it right. Cons: Chances are excellent your order won't be done, won't be ready or can't be found.
The whole idea of Kinko's Online printing is great for a small businessman. Unfortunately the company doesn't seem to have put anything into delivering on the promise at the local level. In the Washington DC area I've been unable to find a local ...

Pros: Kinkos is focused, their employees are knowledgeable and motivated, their procedures are well designed. Cons: Speed of change in developing online market makes it a challenge to keep up on.
I have a unique view of Kinkos that may or may not make a difference to prospective customers: I am a consultant working on a network infrastructure upgrade project for them.
I have had the chance to travel to many locations in Kinkos 1000+...

Pros: They can help with just about anything! Cons: They aren't cheap!
Experience with Kinko's has been both personal and professional. Staff has always been more than helpful. The biggest drawback is the cost of their services. Live in a college town and, of course, they cater to a large college clientele but they could...

Kinko's On-line Digital Printing is misleading
by kylonj ,Jan 25 '06
Pros: On-time Cons: Useless pictures -- I had to throw them away. Total waste of money.
I used the FedEx/Kinkos on-line process to print a picture from my digital camera. The software installation was relatively easy but did require a reboot - which they did not tell you about when you started. Anyway, the upload and print selection process was simple. When I selected the print paper, I chose Glossy because it was a photograph. Apparently the glossy doesn't refer to glossy photographic paper. I picked up the print the next day and the quality was horrible. They can only print the on-line pictures to their laser printer. If this is the case, they need to TELL people upfront BEFORE they spend the money.
The woman before me in line had similar quality issues. If Kinkos cannot communicate their capabilities more appropriately then they should not be offering the service and taking people's money.
