Ive been using Icq for about 3-4 years, and have seen the drastic changes from the first icq i used to the more modern one now, with all the advanced features, from voice chat to file sending, ICQ has it all. This is one of the most useful messaging services out there, practically everyone has it. It's really easy to keep in touch with friends and family, and a lot easier to use then email. The file sends are quiet speedy and i get fairly good speeds of up to like 5 kb/sec on my 56 k when i usually download off websites at only like 4 kb/sec. ICQ can be easily organized into sub-catagories so u know who everyone on your list is and how you met them online or for family members etc. Unlike AIM you can store over 1,000 buddies per list on your icq, While AIM can only store 100. ICQ's service is a lot more reliable you can connect to it all the time out of my long years of its use I think I couldn't get ahold of the service maybe 5 times. ICQ is a must for all you gamers out there, and is used majorly for quake clans, echelon clans, and many other various gaming networks. If you dont like ICQ and want more options and more people to talk to you can try IRC which has tons of channels, almost a channel for anything you need...YOU CAN FIND ANYTHING BETWEEN THE TWO, they are the most useful programs out there for talking to people
