I'm changing my original review of Google, because it was wrong! Yes folks, I'm admitting my mistakes in past reviews.
When I originally reviewed Google, it was blank and beautiful- no ads- but delivering perfect results.
I predicted ads would show up and resented the fact that such a wonderful product would be turned into something garish and commercial.
Well, they're fine.
I was wrong.
Google began as the best search engine around and remains my favorite.
*simple opening page: just a search box (do we really need to see the weather and top headlines everytime we visit a new site anyway?)
*more accurate results (how do they do it?)
*ads? You try and find 'em!
*cached pages- a wonderful idea. If a link is dead, just click on the cached version and you'll usually find the most recently crawled version. This feature has been extremely helpful.
A portion of my original review below so you can witness my folly:
"If they prove me wrong, I'll be a lifetime user. I don't want them to change, because what they're doing RIGHT NOW works..."
They proved me wrong. I love Google. Long live Google. May it be forever protected from the woes of the new economy!
