There is much that can be said about the changes in the computer industry over the last 5 years. Actually, the ten before that as well, but there have been some remarkable changes in the last 5. We have processors over 1Ghz now,hard drives over 30GB are common, and minimum memory is ranging 128mb. This industry has grown in leaps and bounds without a doubt!
The chase for the best Features used to be the driving force behind which computer manufacturer we bought into. Today with features being pretty similar in all the manufacturers lines, thoughts turn more to service and reliability. Customer comittment, 24 X 7 solutions, non-stop operation, and Internet connectivity have become key elements in a computer manufacturer being successful.
TOP on the list however, has become ones dealings with customer service when there is a problem. This portion of the overall computing experience, will in MY opinion, decide who the top manufacturers will be. With the sheer numbers of computers being sold today, it is a given that there will be a ton of customer service issues with ALL major companies.Compaq will be right there with the rest of them in that respect.
Compaq will lead the customer satisfaction revolution! Today, and into the future, Compaq has dedicated itself to be the Industry leader in customer satisfaction! This company will set the pace! Compaq has integrated the former world leader, Digital Equipment Corporation, into it's workforce, and has enpowered it's employees to do "What is Right" for it's customers. All of us within the service delivery area of Compaq, will see to it that we are the industries best!
In Summary: It will always be a "Get what you pay for" and "Buyer beware" world. If you buy a Computer system today and DO NOT buy any additional coverage, you are Asking for trouble! Compaq business computers have a standard 3 year warranty, this includes 1 year onsite. Home systems however,Do NOT, and I would highly recommend that you spend an additional $150 and pick up a CarePaq for these systems. This will get you Business quality coverage on that Presario machine you may use at home.
