I have heard a lot of nice things about this site and that is why I decided to join. I love taking surveys and to get paid for taking them, that would have been amazing. Unfortunately I can not share the same opinion on their service and business practice. May be I just don't understand something, but I have been trying to get one survey through after another and I can't seem to have any results. My apologies to the people, who are really happy with that site, but this is just my personal experience with them.
Problem:
First time I went on Greenfield.com site, I got an ugly General Protection Fault error at the very end of the survey. I figured, there might be something wrong and did it again, with the same result at the end. I send an e-mail to them, to see if there is a problem with their site or is it something on my part. I get this e-mail back, asking me what site was I on? I reply by telling them the name and the reference to that survey. I get a reply asking me for the URL address, when I bombed, to which I decided not to respond anymore. I figured that I would just take another survey in the future.
I took two more surveys, which ended up by hanging until the server timeout at the end. When I took another one yesterday, I got the same message after waiting forever. So this time I decided, I am not going to be as nice, but still decided to be polite.
Solution:
I e-mailed Greenfield asking them to correct my problem or tell me what to do, and here is what I wrote:
It is the worst I have ever seen. Not once, can I get through the survey. Would you be able to let me know, if there is any reason, why I should continue trying to take your surveys? I get to the end and then the server hangs until it times out. I know it is not my connection, because I am not experiencing this problem anywhere else. Please let me know what to do or cancel my subscription with your site.
Jake.
In any normal circumstances, they would try to be helpful and assist me, to keep me as part of their group. At least, that is what I would have thought they would do. This is not exactly what they decided to do and here is what I got today word for word:

Outcome:
What would a normal person do in the situation like that? Yes, I am going to cancel, what did they think, I would try to play an email tag with them. I would have expected them to at least try to fix the problem or explain to me, why they think I am getting the server hang up if nobody else does. Instead they decided to take the easiest way out this, sort of like 'Don't like it, don't use it' approach. May be I am totally wrong. I usually don't complain about a lot of things, but I don't think I misunderstood anything here and I think, that they could have been a little more helpful. I am a very easy person to please, but when someone is not even trying, how can I be happy with that kind of organization.
I will never use that site again, nor will I refer them to anyone. It was a total waste of time and effort on my part.
