What is Imandi.com? I personally had never heard of this place before reading reviews about it at Epinions.com. After reading the reviews, I decided I wanted to check this place out and see what it is all about, and here is what I found.
Imandi.com is a place where when you register, you can tell them what you would like to find, they match merchants to what you are looking for, and then you get the merchants to send you quotes on what you are wanting to purchase.
Imandi.com offers a wide array of different services on what you are looking to purchase. Here are a few of what Imandi.com offers: Home and Garden (landscape maintenance, carpet cleaning, roofing, etc.); Rare Books; Finance (auto insurance, health insurance, etc.); and much more.
Sure, seems great so far!!
But, then I found some problems, and I doubt I ever sign up for their services because of the lack of the following information.
They tell you that you can make money on this site. You can earn $5 for every referral you get to their site and sign up (up to 20 referrals), $2 a referral after 20 people, plus get paid for the referrals your direct referrals get signed up. But, is this the only way you get the money earnings on this site? Seems to be. I looked all over their site to find out if there was other ways to make money on their site. I couldn’t find anything. They ask that the first $250 out of every $1,000 you earn, you spend in their marketplace.
Another problem enters here. They advertise that they have over 168,000 merchants in their marketplace. But, guess what? You have no idea who their merchants are (unless you can sign up and find out, but I for one, am not going to register to find out information I would like to know, I want to know what kind of place I am dealing with FIRST!!). Is the merchants they use reputable merchants? Have I dealt with any of the merchants before? I can’t tell you, because Imandi.com doesn’t tell you who their merchants are.
I guess if someone wants to make some money and try to get your friends to sign up to this site, more power to you. But, if your friends are like me, they might be investigating the site beforehand to see what it is all about, before they decide. I like to know what I am going to be getting into, before I register for any site on the Internet.
Overall, this site seems like a great idea. I just feel that many things were left unexplained.
