Being a fan of the Crash Bandicoot advertising campaign, I finally decided to try out one of his games. Fortunately, this was the only one available on a saturday at my favored movie rental store. I had not really seen a whole lot of PR for the game, and figured what the heck.
I got it home, slapped it in the console, and took off on an amusing, complex adventure. The menu animation alone was enough to make me chuckle. The game is set up so that you progress as your skill at racing the go carts improves, which keeps the game interesting, and never so challenging that you throw the controller down and storm away mad like you would with some games.
The only part I did not like was that you could not customize your go cart. I guess this keeps with the simplicity motif the game has going for it, but I still highly recommend this game to anyone that just wants to have fun without having to think too hard, or take hours to complete.
