I have an iMac, which Napster does not work on, so they came up with Macster. They both contain the same music, same search, same everything, just a different name.
On this particular music sight you can find almost any song you want. To find the music you click on the search button. Then you have a choice. You can either type the artist or song you are looking for or even both. But, sometimes you may not know both and that's why it's easier to do this.
For example there was a song that I heard on the radio. I typed in what I thought would be the tittle of the son. 100 names came up with their artists. I figured out which one was the one I was looking for.
Napster/Macster is not perfect though. Out of all the songs it has, not all of them could download. I came to the conclusion after 100 music downloads that I have made, that if it says "unknown" in the speed part of the search results, then it is most likely not going to work. The ones that work the best are the ones that say "t1" or "cable" usually works the best.
I DO recommend Napster/Macster, but I have to admit that I don't know of any other music downloads for free. By saying this I want you to know that my opinion isn't compared to anything else.
From what I DO know though, I think Napster/Macster is a very good source for music. It has always helped me find the song I was looking for and 99% of the time I could download it.
