Pros: one of the 1st free isps
Cons: ads....you dont get paid to see those ads.

Yep, Netzero was the ones that started it all. The ones that gave aol its first gasp. I was using netzero for 8 months during the early stages when there wasnt alot of hype around it. I found the ease of it rather good comparing that I had a software to kill all the add banners. ...So I wasnt seeing a bunch of ads sue me!!!.....Months would go by and The company would change their versions and so would the banner killer software...so I was constantly updating everytime I logged on and It was getting kind of annoying. Around the 7th month using netzero, I was constantly getting busy signals and sometimes i coudnt even log on to their servers....Then around the 8th month, my computer crashed with all the memory those ads have taken up( around 19 mb of memory)...
So i made up my mind that I should search for a better Free isp out there that doesnt use alot of memory that this Marketing Machine-netzero does....So I came up on a company called Worldshare.net they promise a free Dial-up-connection with no banners at all...the only thing they ask of you is to fill out a once a month survey and if you'd like donate $15/month to your favorite charity...So i signed up and 2 months later here I am using this totally free isp with no annoying banners,free email, and i also get no busy signals.....
My advice is if your looking to go with netzero - There are better Isp's out there
