I have used the Viewsonic PS 790 19" short-tube monitor for several months now. I am very pleased with it. It blows away the 17" CTX that was using previously.
The monitor's short-tube design is why I purchased it. It has such a small footprint that it is perfect for my dorm room at college.
The display is fantastic at 1280x1024 and good at 1600x1200. The only problem with the display is that the viewable area slightly pinches at the top. I hardly notice it anymore, but it bugged me at first. Viewsonic says it is because of the short-tube design.
The price is pretty good as well, as long as you don't get killed in shipping charges.
