I Would Rather Pay Listing Fees

The free listings lured me to try Yahoo!, but I was disappointed. I could earn much more using ebay, even with the fees I pay.
Yahoo! has some great features. Among my favorite are the automatic relisting if your item does not sell the first time, your choice of the time of day for the end of the auction, and of course, the free listing. With the automatic relisting you can indicate on the listing form the number of times you would like your item to be relisted. Hopefully it will sell sometime in the next few weeks. The choice of time for the end of the auction allows you to plan around your schedule so that you can notify the winners of the auction immediately. I commend the people who came up with these ideas - they tried to make it as helpful to the seller as possible.
The cons, however, outweigh the pros. When I tried to search for items using keywords, there were many items listed that did not have the keyword in the title and really had nothing to do with the item I was wanting. Also, as a seller, I want to make some money on the items I am selling. I had items for sale that were relisted for 5 weeks that never sold, yet they sold right away on ebay. It seems that Yahoo! has a small number of sincere bidders. As far as the items I sold, I did not earn very much at all. In addition, I only received payment on about half of the auctions. I wrote the auction winners at the end of the auction and then again a few weeks later and got no response. I know this is not Yahoo's fault and that it is the fault of the bidders, but as a seller, I am going to list my items on sites where I can make the most money and I actually receive payment for the items.
I would really like to see Yahoo! auctions take off because they have some great features, but until they do, I will stick with ebay.
