Speaker comaparasion

When choosing speakers one very important factor is space. For those pressed for space let me reccomend the Monsoon Flat Pannel 3-piece system. These speakers are gerat space savers the sub woofer which is unbelieveably powerful is a small cube which in a pinch can be shoved under a desk and the speakers are really thin and can be stored at the end of the desk behind all the clutter on your desk, or they can even use them as "book ends" to hold books or cd's this system sounds almost as good as my home stereo. The other speaker system that is at about the same price level ($100) are the creative Labs FPS1000 this 5-piece system sounds great, the satalites come with little stands and truely transform your pc into a home theatre when combined with DVD, Great sound Cards, and a nice hd-tv utilizing the tv-out feature. These speakers are great for everything from movies to games to music and are probably the most practical for use in your home, but for those who are more heavily into music you may wish to go the extra mile and get the FPS2500 5-piece system that is the digital version of the 1000 series and yes you can hear the differance, but in my opinion $250 for speakers is a bit to pricey. So unless money is really no issue get the FPS-1000s for your home or the Monsoons for your office or if your pressed for space. Also the black color of the monsoons makes a very nice addtion to a corperate desktop.
Please don't forget even the best speakers sound horrible with a cheap sound card for info on a sound card to use with these speakers check out my article on Sound Cards
