sex appeal

Pros:sexy, portable, powerful, convenient, plug and play
Cons:expensive
The Sony VAIO SuperSlim is the perfect laptop for the "average" computer user, i.e. internet surfing, e-mail, word processing/spreadsheets, etc. (for those who can afford to pay $3500, including CD ROM). It is sleek, sexy, very easy to set-up...virtually plug-n-play out of the box. All the external accessories are clearly marked as to where they plug-in. The laptop is very light (~3 pounds), very portable, and very nice to show off. The computer I bought had a Pentium II 366 with 128 MB RAM, much more than adequate for the aforementioned tasks. Ethernet and dial-up modem are internal and included, making it convenient to plug into the LAN at work or dialing in from home.
I also own a Toshiba Portege 7020, and I prefer the Sony to it except for the following three items:
1. Screen size is bigger on the Portege by an inch
2. Portege has a pointer (mouse) rather than a touchpad (many people prefer the touchpad though)
3. Portege has a DVD docking station, which is not an option with the Sony.
