| schroeder360's Full Review: Dell Inspiron 3700 R450GT |
My Inspiron is the PIII 450 mHz and has a 56k modem, modular floppy and dvdrom drives, and 32mb of ram.
I have had it now for about a month and have had absolutely no problems with it at all.
The screen is not too small, has good performance (good enough to show dvds pretty clearly), and I have not noticed any signs of slow operation. The batteries last for a very long time, and recharge pretty quickly. The only inconvenience associated with the laptop design is that the two disk drives (floppy and dvd) cannot be contained in the computer at the same time, so either a lot of switching back and forth must be done, which involves turning the computer off, then over upside-down, or the floppy drive will need to be constantly plugged and unplugged from the adapter chord provided.
My favorite aspect of the computer is its design, which, although is completely superficial and negligible when computers are concerned, does give the computer a sense of individuality about it. It is not blatantly different, but subtly so. It stands out among the other millions of plain black, boxy notebook computers being sold.
Oh yeah, it's a Dell. Enough said.
