My mother-in-law actually purchased the Pavilion with a Celeron 500Mhz chip, a hard drive with plenty of storage (19 gig or so), a 15" monitor, and a CD-RW drive. The computer only cost $800 at Wal-Mart- I'm not sure why the price was so much lower, but it was a great deal.
I would suggest this computer for anyone who is interested in having a computer for common tasks- finances, Internet, and word processing. It seems expandable, but if someone is looking for performance, they might want to seek a machine that is more adaptable to what they want.
The HP Pavilion 6633C is definitely worth a look if you're just getting started with computers or just want one that will do common tasks.
