With all of the above specifications, this machine is available from Dell for $2100 plus shipping.
The good things:
-Keyboard has keys that cradle your fingers and make it easy to type comfortably
-Memory easily upgradable up to 256 MB
-Screen size is excellent
-Weight is good, even with battery
-On-board mouse is very responsive
-Battery lasts 6 hours without needing a charge
-Sound is excellent (side speakers)
-Warranty is long
The bad things:
-Modem is not standard
-Power cord should be in the back, not on the side of the machine
-Zip Drive or similar not included
Would like to know (but am happy not to):
-Quality of Tech Support
I haven't had any problems with this machine freezing, and fortunately, Windows has never crashed on me. Fully Y2K compliant as shipped.
