| miker1's Full Review: Dell Inspiron 7000 A400LT |
I purchased my Dell Inspiron 7000 in June 1999, 400mhz processor, 128MB of memory, 10GB hard drive, 15" display, and combo DVD and 3 1/2 drive. Along with two Lithium Batteries for $3200.00. I did not purchase the 56kb modem (already had one from my previous laptop).
I do contract programming so I move from location to location frequently.
The 10GB hard drive gives me the ability to keep all of my clients info on the hard drive. The 15" display is one of the features I was looking for in a laptop, if you have ever had to look at a smaller screen for any length of time you know what I mean.
In the time that I have had my Dell, have contacted Tech Support two times with great response. I have used the infared port to print to my printer and I also used it to transfer data from my old laptop to the Dell. The start up of windows 98 is slow but once up and running this system screams. The only con I can think of is the weight.
With the price dropping only makes the system an even better dream machine.
