| blink182crazy's Full Review: HP CD-Writer Plus 9300i Series |
Have you ever bought a CD for just one song? Don't you hate throwing away $12-$17 just for a CD with one song and all the others are not that great? Well if you have ever been in this situation, you will absolutely love the HP CD-Writer Plus 9310i series.
It is a CD-RW (writable and re-writable). With a write speed of 10x, a rewrite speed of 8x, and a reading speed of 32x, you will be making CD's like crazy. On average you can burn a regular length music CD (about 15 songs) in 8 minutes. You can also make archives of your valuable pictures or files, on a re-writable CD, I haven't tried to make a CD like this yet, but I'm sure it would be made in about 7-10 minutes.
Also with the 9310i series you get the burning software and all the necessary software to make CD's plus you get Neato(R) CD labeling software, the sticky labels to print on, and you get a computer DJ program by Sonic Foundary. This allows you to make your own mixed versions of songs you like, or throw together a bunch of sounds to make a song you like. This software ONLY COMES WITH THE 9310i NOT THE 9300i. There is a difference between the 9300i and the 9310i, the 9310i is faster and comes with more software. This epinion is on the HP 9310i INTERNAL CD-writer plus drive.
The external version of this can only burn at 4x due to the fact that it has to go through a USB. If you buy this, and you have an extra bay on your computer, I recommend the internal. If you don't have an extra bay and you still want a CD burner, then get the external. All external CD burners write at 4x, so it is still a good choice for an external burner. Plus the fact that it reads at 32x helps for gamers and other software. It is also reliable.
One more thing. On my computer, it was only burning at 2x for music CD's, and I finally figured out how to make it burn at 10x. Aptec Cd burning software comes with the burner. To make it burn at 10x, you have to add all your songs to the list that will be on the CD, then you save it and open it again. There will be a button with a red dot on it, click it and pick the CD writer drive and then click 10x and click ok. It will now burn at 10x.
