ANOTHER One!! So What's So Different About This One?

If you've read any of my other epinions, you'll know that "paid to surf" programs are really my thing. When clickdough.com came out with yet ANOTHER program I thought, Geez! This one had better be good...I'm already a member of so many that I'm going to need a bigger monitor! Well, after checking them out I've decided that as soon as they actually send me a check (they just started out, remember) clickdough will probably be one of my favorites!
So why is clickdough going to be one of the "greats"? First of all, they're different than other programs of this type...alladvantage, getpaid4, speedia. Clickdough, unlike those previously mentioned, doesn't give you ANYTHING to download. This is a good thing for those of us who don't have a lot of "computer space" left, but it's also a bad thing because, at this moment, you have to physically GO to clickdough every time you want to open the banner bar for the day (they use the term "personal window"). With programs like alladvantage.com the "bar" conveniently pops up every time you start your computer. Even so, clickdough is advertising that this little inconvenience is going to remedied in the future ~ they are working on a way to make the window automatically "pop up" AND they are working on an "optional" downloadable version. I think this is a great option ~ HAVING A CHOICE IS GOOD!
Clickdough is the same as all the other "paid to surf" programs in that they have a strict privacy & anti-spam policy. They'll also pay you for referrals, but the difference here is that clickdough will pay you down to 8 levels...alladvantage only pays down 2-3 levels. Not only that, but clickdough will pay you for your referral's time even if you HAVE NOT surfed one bit. This is the first program of this type that I have EVER heard that from...impressive if you ask me.
Speaking of "impressive", another thing that has impressed me about clickdough is the way they pay. They give you two options...once your account reaches $20 you can have them send you a check, or they will direct deposit your money into your x.com bank account. This is great if you have a x.com account (I do), but if you don't then I guess it's not a big deal to you! Keep in mind that clickdough won't automatically send your money once your account reaches $20 ~ like most of the other programs. Instead, clickdough allows you to request your money at anytime after reaching the minimum $20.
Yet another thing I've found to be impressive about clickdough is the fact that they'll pay you for UNLIMITED hours at 50% of their advertising dollars. Since I'm online ALL THE TIME, I think this is spectacular. I don't even have to be "physically" surfing the net to get my time counted either. However, every 1/2-1 hour the clickdough window will pop to the front of my screen and give me 2 minutes to "click" on a certain area to show that I'm still here. I find this to be WAY MORE preferable than programs like getpaid4, where you have to move your mouse once a minute to be considered active ~ or even programs like speedia, where you have change web URL's at least once a minute.
So now know how clickdough's program "details" work, but what about their bar? Well, it basically looks like a banner ad (perhaps a little bit bigger), but since it doesn't "dock" to any part of the computer screen, it's a little more inconvenient. It is easy to move around, but sometimes it gets in the way. I usually keep it at the very top of my screen (over all my browser buttons) so the only time I have to move it is when I switch websites. However, a good thing about the "personal window" working this way, is that if you move around a webpage at all the "window" goes behind your screen so that you don't even have to look at it. Of course, it will "pop" back in front every time a new "advertisment" starts (about every 30 sec) but it's really not too bad. It also has a "pause" button...so if you're getting sick of seeing it you can "temporarily" get rid of it. Sites like alladvantage don't have this option. (With alladvantage, if you get rid of the bar it's GONE until the next time you reboot.) Once again ~ HAVING A CHOICE IS GOOD!
With some of the other "paid to surf" programs, I've noticed that my little weenie 33.6 modem gets bogged down a lot. Not with clickdough, though! I haven't noticed that my surfing is any slower AT ALL. Of course, if you have a fast connection you don't have to worry about it, but if not then it's definitely something you'll be thinking about before signing up.
The only actual bad thing about this program is that they don't start paying until March 1, 2000. Yes, you will get paid for your time (and your referral's time) before then, but it won't show up on your account page. Of course, this isn't terrible thing...it's just a little annoying for all of us "instant gratification" people. Even so, considering all the other great aspects of this program, I think I can live with it!
I sure hope this program works out because (as of this moment) it sounds like a definite keeper!
