I got my IBM PC Camera about 5 or 6 months ago. To install it I had to go to their web site http://www.xirlink.com/ibmpccamea to download the software I needed. You do get a CD with the software on it, but it is only for systems running Windows 98 or 2000. I run Windows 95 so I had to get my software from their web site. The download did not take long and it was still easy to install. Lets see,where do I being to tell you about this PC Cam. My girls and I had a lot of fun trying it out, my 13 year old is a real ham. The Cam takes unbelievable digital still pictures,that can be BMP or JPG formats. You can film video images with sound in AVI or EXE formats. You get programs on the CD that let you edit your video or pictures creations and make the presentations easy to do. Its simple to send video or still pictures in e-mail. The recipient can view them through any Windows based computer’s e-mail program,even if they do not own a digital PC Camera. This PC Camera Works well on Microsoft NetMeeting
(software for NetMeeting included) and on Paltalk for video conferencing. I find that I can’t get it to work on Mplayer. I know there are many other types of video conferencing programs and/or sites. I will more
than likely try these others and report back on my findings. Now for a bit more info on the cam it self......
