I have a terrible addiction to Quake (id Software). When 3Dfx released the first Voodoo card, I had to have one. I then promoted the Voodoo card to Voodoo 2 when Quake 2 was released. I was very satisfied with the performance, but video quality left a little to be desired. When nVidia released the TNT card, I was highly impressed with the quality of the picture, but not as satisfied with the performance of the card for gaming. I swapped that out for a TNT2 card and have never gone back to Voodoo based adapters. When nVidia released news to the press about the GeForce 256, I knew that was the card for me. After waiting months, this card was surely worth the wait! The performance is up to par, and the graphics provides eye candy that still has me in amazement!
Now that Quake 3 has been released, there is no better combination. The Creative Labs card provides their top notch support (although I did not need to call them) along with a great assortment of software and WinDVD (the software DVD player for Windows that even runs in Windows NT!)
If you're going to buy any video card using the latest technology, this is the one to own!
