This soundcard ROCKS! I wanted to get a MIDI keyboard for sequencing, but when I heard this soundcard and found it was only $99-that was all I needed to know. I haven't had ANY problems with it or problems interfacing it with applications that use it.
I use it with Cakewalk Home Studio and pleased with its performance. It gives excellent instrumental reproduction that doesn't sound too computerized. The games I played with the old 8 bit soundcard have tremendously improved backtracks with this soundcard's real-time instrument reproduction. When I sequence with it, the music is good enough to use for a karoake soundtrack.

I definitely recommend this card! Soundblaster has a proven track record of quality and cutting edge souncards that don't rip out your pocketbook.
