| Ahydell's Full Review: Dell Dimension XPS T700r |
After using and abusing a Dell Inspiron 7500 for 1 1/2 years, it was time to upgrade the home PC and there was no question that it was going to be a Dell. The choice was then between the XPS-T or the XPS-B. The only difference being the RAM. I decided to go with the T and have been nothing short of very happy with my decision. The reason I decided to go with the T: I am not a "gamer" and don't need the "faster" RAM. I immediately upgraded mine to 256 RAM and i don't see any difference in my machine compared to a friends XPS-B with RD-RAM.
The 30 GIG hard drive that was an upgrade provides outstanding performance.
This Dell machine blows away any competition in terms of performance, price and durability. My previous home machine was a Gateway. Dell beats Gateway's price easily. Dell has many other options that Gateway does not offer.
I upgraded to the Harmon Kardon speakers and couldn't be more happy with that decision. They deliver quality sound that is crystal clear. Anyone interested in a work-horse of a machine should seriously consider a Dell and you will not be sorry.
