OVERALL: This is a good laptop for the business laptop, and has all the absolute necesities that one could ask for, for a very reasonable price.
This Laptop is one of the better ones out there for decent prices, but it does have some basic shortcomings as far as "extras" go. It's 14.1 inch screen is a pretty decnt size screen, but if you are planning on using this laptop for reading on it I would suggest spending the extra on a better screen size, as well as possibly a better video card. That is not to say that this card isn't fabulous for a laptop, just that if you're going to do alot of reading on it it would definetly be worth it to invest in the extra cost. The CD-ROM doesn't require any upgrade, unless you NEED a DVD, which hardly any one needs because no one uses their laptop to watch movies, and on laptop thats just a bout all you can use a DVD for. Its sound card is pretty good, but it isnt the sound card that is going to limit the quality, its the speakers and what do you need sound for on a laptop anyway. It's battery is pretty good and will last a while, but it might be worthwile to buy two, for any long business trips. Its modem has no problems, this is all you can expect from a laptop. Its software bundle includes only the necesities for a business laptop, and could use options such as Microsfot Office Small Business Edition. Its hard drive might need an upgrade, but for most people it won't be required. Not only all this, but DELL is also one of the best computer suppliers out there
