I had a k6 2-400 lying around and I wanted to put it to use. I searched many web sites and message boards for suggestion for a ss7 motherboard and the one many recomended was the epox mvp3g2 ATX for its stability and the ability to overclock. The next day I ran to the store and got board. Got home, it only took me 20 minutes to set up and boot. It features three dimm slots, 1 agp, 5 pci, and two isa. The ISA slots came in handy for my older components. The bois has many features that you can play around with. It is a jumper setting board for easy controls to overclock.
Currently i have my k6 2 400 overclocked to 616 no sweat. I also have a tnt2 card, creative labs modem, nic, and sb card that works flawless and installation was a breeze. The only problem I had was when i want my memory I remove my video card because it block the white tabs from being opened. Besides from that it is an excellent motherboard. If you look online you will find great deals with the chip and memory included for a reasonable price.
