| lillers's Full Review: HP Pavilion 6530PC |
I bought my HP 6530 back in November of 1999 for a price of $600.00 which included the monitor, keyboard, and speakers. I thought this was a GREAT deal! I immediately upgraded the memory to 128 MB RAM, and also upgraded the hard drive to 12 gigs, since I use my computer a great deal for web development, database design and word processing.
For the most part, this has been a good investment for me. The only major gripe I have about the system is that if it ever locks up and you have to shut it down, it doesn't allow you to push the power button to do so. I have to physically unplug the system from the wall and then reboot it. This can be a pain, but it's an inconvenience that I can live with.
And speaking of system crashes....this does not happen all that often. Only as much as can be expected with Windows 98.
Overall, a good computer for the average user.
