Beware when you have problems...

This review is mostly on the problems I have had.

I have had my laptop for 1 1/2 years. For the first year, I absolutely loved it and would recommend it to any one. Let me give you a list of all the problems I have had since. First I had a problem with my DVD drive before the first year was up they sent me a REFURBISHED(They use mostly refurbished products) replacement that did not work properly, I have had to replace that one as well. On my keyboard one of the keys flipped off. I have sent the computer back 4 times total for the keyboard problem(3 times in the last 6 weeks alone). 6 weeks ago the computer was sent back for 4 things: the keyboard, the charging plug would not plug(they changed the motherboard), the battery wasn't holding its charge(it would run down within 1 hour), and check the system out because of the charging issue my computer was shutting down without notice. Last week it was sent back for the keyboard, this week it was sent back for the keyboard and I tried to turn the computer on and the battery/motherboard started smoking. The battery is still not holding it's charge and as far as I know they have done nothing about it. Also they are supposed to do something about the VGA cover it has been falling off every since the computer was sent in 6 weeks ago.(I had sent the computer in to them completely in tact) Today they told me they replaced the CPU.

My computer arrived. It is not working properly. When I opened the computer the screen said 'you can now turn your computer off'. The battery is still not holding its charge it appears they didn't even check it. As I was checking the computer it froze with red stripes on the screen. They did nothing to the VGA cover. I will be calling Dell AGAIN.

Finally some good news Dell has redeemed themselves. Up until now they were not willing to give me a new computer. When I called them just now they said they are going to send me another computer(it will be refurbished since they no longer make the model I have which scares me but they have promised it will not give me any problems. We'll see)
