I purchased the SB Live to give me better sound quality for DVD playback. The Live Drive feature (front panel cable connections and remote control sensor) looked neat and easy to use. The Live drive arrived Dead On Arrival. The internal sb card digital connections did not mate with my ATI 128M wonder DVD card and the SB software interface did not recognize the digital interface when wired with the SB Live Y cable supplied by Creative Labs.

I called Creative Labs during the next 4 days after Christmas and got 80 busy signals. When I finally connected with a tech. he had to read the manual... which I had already done. It did not have the answer and he had no authority to RMA the unit. I asked for a manager. None on duty. The shift supervisor call back 4 hrs. later and left a phone number which was the main tech. number and was busy. Creative labs has not responded to my emails
