AMF (Always Means Fun!)

Pros:Looks cool, performance is cool. Plus, it's nice and portable, you can put it inside just about any bag or case. Furthermore, it is backward-compatible, and judging from the current situation, Iomega is unlikely to file for bankruptcy (unlike Syquest) any
Cons:You should take note that it reads 100MB Zip disks at a slower speed than 250MB Zips, plus the price of the original Zip has dropped drastically, so you should make your consideration carefully which one to buy.
I got this nice little drive and I have been satisfied with it ever since. Iomega has certainly done a good job with its products so far, so this one is no surprise, either. But I must really congratulate the company on this one: It offers Plug-and-Play, ease of use, and backward-compatibility with 100MB Zips, all in one neat package.
Open the package and you get a short guide on how to get the drive working, a CD manual, AC and USB cable, and finally, the main drive. It's a beauty to behold. The nice picture on the box doesn't do any justice to the drive: It's shiny, plus it's so blue and cool your friends will be wondering why they got that boring parallel port Zip 250 in the first place. I guess it fits the drive's image as a portable drive, since it's so light and small.
The installation went without any errors, and soon I was happily transfering hundreds of megs worth of MP3s to Zip. Transfer speed is great, the only drawback, of course, is that each disk holds 250MB. You can get the Jaz if you want to, but the Zip is still the universal one!
I have no complaints against this drive at all. Another contender in this field would be the Orb 2.2GB. Considering the mammoth size (2.2GB...) it's not bad, but then I still prefer the Zip. It's accepted almost anywhere, and with backward-compatibility, it is set to replace your old Zip 100 in the near future... And for once, you won't be disappointed.
