I am so glad i downloaded AOL-IM.I think it is a great thing to have.
I have had it since i joined AOL,and wouldn't have it any other way.
This has came in handy for me so many times.It is so easy to use,all you have to do is click the persons name on your buddie list,type your message and send.Or, you can put in their name to see if they are online and IM them if their not in your list.I also use it to find out who someone is when i talk to them,by pulling up the profile button.
The other day i got email from someone and didn't know who they were and
i punched in their name to see if they were online,i asked who they were and how the got my email and they said it was on a forwarding they recieved.The lady was real nice and told me she was sorry to bother me with the mail and asked if i would send back to her ,what was sent to me.
when i did she told me the person who sent it to her was her son who's brother worked with my husband at the plant.So i was relieved to know it wasn't just spam mail.I have also gotten IM's from people who have joined us here at Epinions.It is nice to know that you can be of some help to people who need you or your advice.I am a true believer of Instant Messenger,it has helped me in so many ways.I like the buddy chat too.
Once a week i call a buddy chat with some of my old friends that i went to school with.We have such a great time.It is an easy FREE way to talk to and hear from people you can't see often.Alot of the friends are out of state,so i save alot of money using this system.So if you do not have this,i would recommend you get it.Even if you have another ISP you can still use it.It only takes a couple of minutes to download and your ready to set it up.
