Why did you purchase this product?
I was looking for a quality, inexpensive machine for home use.
Who would benefit most from using this product?
Excellent PC for home or small business use.
Why did you choose this product over the competition?
I choose this pc based on reviews and pricing.
Basically this machine is a good all around buy. The price is right for all the machine you get. Based on quality and price I would give this 5 stars. When when you factor in the poor customer and technical support then I would have to lower the score to 2 stars. I do not want to say the product is bad, because it is not. But when I purchase any product, car, computer, TV, I always factor in "what if I need repairs or tech support"
This in one area where ABS is lacking. The following is an example of a recent experience.
The power supply fan began to make some noise. I contacted ABS and explained the problem. They issued me an RMA but the RMA meant I had to remove the power supply and send it in and wait for a replacement to return. They would not allow me to even put down a deposit so I could get the new power supply first. I went ahead and shipped the power supply in. I contacted them a week later after checking that they received the box by a tracking number. They told me that I should receive he replacement within the following week. I was fine with that. After another week had passed I contacted ABS again. They told me the package was delivered. I asked them where. They told me the address, which was my old address from 1 year ago. Take into consideration that I did give them my new address when placing the RAM and also in the box that I returned. I told them they had sent it to the wrong place and they basically told me that it was my fault and they wanted me to go to the old address and get it. After we exchanged words back and forth, they finally issued a pick up for the wrong address and shipped another to me at the right address. I found this to be very unacceptable.
Conclusion: for the price it is great. for the service, I would suggest Gateway or Dell. Their prices are fair and their service is great.
