Pros: really truly is a cheap calling card
Cons: seems like a lot of numbers to dial sometimes, but it would be with any calling card, I suppose

I looked up Net2Phone here because I couldn't wait to endorse it after using it for about 3 months now. I have to say that I only know about the calling card service first-hand but it is relatively gimmick-free!
I registered through a priceline.com link for a 2.9 cents a minute pre-paid calling card. They sent me my card (took about 10 days), I activated it and started saving. In the beginning for about a week I was paying 6.9 cents a minute because there was no local access number for me yet. This was not a surprise, though, I expected it from reading their web page information. When I checked back a week later (they said new numbers were added daily) a local number had been added and my rate dropped to 3.9 cents a minute. These rates are for USA calls, anywhere, anytime. My account shows a monthly surcharge of .99. Considering that my old rates were MCI 7 cents/ 5 cents and my Local Toll charges were .25 a minute(EVERYWHERE is local toll from my house, I swear!) I am getting some real value!
To use the card, you prepay an amount (there are choices and I believe the minimum is $25). Then you call your access number(7 digits), enter your account number(10 digits), your code number(4 digits), hear an account balance message, then dial the number you want to call(7-11 digits). There is a feature to save a lot of redialing by pressing # three times to end a call, then enter the new number you want to call.
You go to their website to "recharge" your card when necessary and to access your account and see your call history or your current balance, etc.
As far as reliability I have had three instances (in 3 months) where I could not get a call made for what seemed to be technical reasons on their part. Not really a problem, though, I just made the calls with the old service. I notice no difference in quality of sound from my old provider and I did not have to change a thing about the service I was using when I signed up, I just started using the card instead.
I have made 98% of my card calls from my home phone and the rest from other private phones, no pay phone calls yet. I see no problem letting them hold my $25 pre-paid as I was paying MCI at least that much a month and now for $25 I can call for more than 2 months at a time. I am eager to use the PC-phone capabilities, too. I see it as a good tool to make my "errand" phone calls while I am online without having to connect and disconnect in order to make some calls related to business I am doing at my computer. I will update this opinion after I have tried it for a while.
