Purchased from PC Connection overnight SAT delivery. Arrived double boxed in perfect condition. Just gonna give some quick comments on what I think after a month of ownership.

Very Fast, Big/bright screen, Very sturdy construction, Runs Windows 2000 with no driver issues, Excellent keyboard/Layout, great sound system, not too heavy, and excellent performance on 3D LAN games such as Nascar3.

The installed software load is just what it should be, mainly the OS and that's it. No bloatware. Way to go NEC! They also supply a win98 restore CD. Battery life is about 3.5 hrs. An additional battery can be installed in the Versa Bay for longer uptime.

I picked this machine over the Dell Inspirion 7500 which we use at work. However, I do like Dell's 4 spindle design but then you pay the price in increased weight/size. I now use the Versa as my primary desktop machine. Bought a great ZERO haliburton Z5 case which looks like it was made for the Lxi. The NEC (IMHO) is a higher quality machine for the same amount of money and a pound or two lighter than the Dell. I give this machine my highest recommendation.
