Ok the internet has brought a revolution of free stuff like free email, free internet access, free money (ex: Epinions pays you), and finally FREE LOTTO. The concept is excellent: trick a bunch of web people (who don't like going outside) into playing the lottery online and offer a huge jackpot. ITS A SCAM!!!! You can't win, do the math!
You notice there's only 54 numbers to choose from (4 more than the state lottery) so you think "Hey my odds are similar to the one that a pay a buck for." But REMEMBER the scale ifs LOGARITMIC, meaning those four extra numbers is more like 1/54 time 1/53 times 1/52 times 1/51 which means your chances of winning are 7.59 million times LESS LIKELY than the state lottery! In fact chances of winning the jackpot are 1 in 15 billion! But they do give you 3 entries per day. So if everybody on earth entered 3 times a day then someone would in, or if you entered 3 times a day for 5 billion days you would win! AREN't THOSE ODDS JUST GREAT! No wonder why they don't post any jackpot winners; there are none! Ok so somepeople enter and win like a whole $3. WOW, you can goto the liquor store and use those $3 to buy REAL LOTTERY tickets. Odds of winning those $3 are about 1 in 148,000 (54x53x52). Remember, they make you click on ads and 150 thousands hits generates them $150 at a cpm rate of $1, so they make $147 profit and hand you a measly $3.
PS They also spam you so if u sign up make sure u use a junk email account. I don't beleive the odds are worth playing, but I still play ocasionally, when I feel luckier than the other 6billion people on earth and when I want to eat spam.
