Easy and Powerful

Pros:Click and drag burning, ability to add or remove individual files with Adaptec Direct CD, Easy to make mp3 cds or back-ups or copies
Cons:Can't pierce copyright protection so if you want to make back-ups of software you will have problems
Adaptec Easy CD Creator and Adaptec Direct CD seem to come with most Cd burners I've seen. The reason is because the programs are so easy to use. AECC lets you make exact copies of other cds in just a couple clicks (provided they don't have copyright protection) or an mp3 cd even easier: they let you just drag in all the mp3s you want on the disk, click ok and then it burns for you. AECC will also make backup disks or burn image files to some extent.
But for backup you will want to use ADC (Adaptec Direct CD) which seems to be less commonly used even though it comes in the same package as AECC. ADC will format your CD-RW CDs so they are just as accessible as a floppy disk. This means that if you don't want to have to reburn the whole cd every time you want to add a little file to a back-up disk you don't have to. You can just click and drag a file in and it will add it to the CD. THere is no other program I am aware of that does this. You can also delete individual files off the cd without remaking the whole thing.
The main bad thing about AECC/ADC is that it can't break through the copyright protection on disks, meaning if you want to make a backup of some software you own you probably won't be able to with AECC or ADC. You will want to use Blind Read/Clone CD/Nero Burner/CDRWIN for that.
