Giving Sony a run for the money

Pros:Beautiful clarity and resolution
Cons:Strange setup problem

I purchased this monitor for my home system on only a recommendation from a good friend. He does graphic design, and depends on his monitor for clarity, resolution, and true color representation. Well folks, this one has all of that, and a whole lot more. It is a perfectly flat screen, which is, to say the least, absolutely flawless. The stabilizer wires (2 horizontal lines running across flatscreen monitors) are not noticeable unless you really, really look for them.

When I received the monitor and set it up, it was acting a little strangely. The image was kind of shaky, and no matter what, it would not settle down. I tried whatever I knew how to do, and eventually called tech support. They told me, no kidding, to tap the monitor on the right said, firmly, but not hard. I tried this, and it fixed the problem. Turns out that this is a common problem with the monitor--during shipping something often gets jarred inside, but it was fixed rather easily.

This was the only problem with the monitor. Other than that, I think it is the best flatscreen I have ever seen, much better that my previous Sony 19 inch. The trueness of the color is unbelievable, and the brightness of the images is unparalleled.

Highly recommend it if you are in the market for a huge monitor.
