I can’t believe IBM slip this badly! I had been looking for a second PC camera for a while. Among many choices, the IBM PC Camera was reasonably priced with comparable features. Since I am a die-hard IBM fun, I decided to go with it. Then the horror started.
After I followed the instructions and installed the camera, nothing works. I cannot get the software to start up. Therefore, I consulted the troubleshooting section of the instructions. However, it did not give me any direction at all. My next step is the internet. I went online to the website and find many FAQs on the problem. In about 15 minutes, I was staring at the solution but was surprise that it requires manual tweaking of the Registry of Windows. As you might know, messing with the Registry in Windows can be a dangerous maneuver. Since I have no other alternative, I follow the steps very very very carefully. I finally got the camera to work! Then comes another blow… The quality of the picture was bad if not the worst I have ever seen in a PC camera. I was grossly disappointed at IBM of putting out such a bad product.
