Pros: Easy to Install, Easy to use.
Cons: Gotta watch that software the video rental DVD's try to put on there.

This peice of hardware I originally saw back when it was brand new. Came with a Dxr2 decoder card...
I opened the box, stuck the drive in, and found it surprisingly easy to install... I thought it was making a mistake when it wanted to be TWO drives, but apparently, that's the way it works... It doubles as a 24x CDROM.
Once you get past that, installation is a snap... Even the software... Had no problems whatsoever.
Learning how to use the software provided an interesting challenge, but that didn't last long... Once I figured out how to get the remote up there, everything was fine.
The one problem I DID run into with this drive, is when I rented a DVD from the video store, to test it with, the video store DVD wanted to load some software of its own... I let it, mistakenly thinking that there were some more drivers I must need to play DVD's... What the software did was confuse the DVD drive...
So I uninstalled it, and didn't let it install the next time through, and the DVD played through like a champ... That's how I first saw Blade (excellent movie by the way...)
It was also my first pleasant experience with DVD players. I highly recommend this one, it works, and it's easy!
