Pros: easy to use, various set-up possibilities
Cons: haven't encountered any, other then the fact that not everyone has signed up!
The Bottom Line: Easy to navigate, and understand, I see it as a wonderful venue for anyone on the internet. Set-up and membership is not only free, but it's simple!

I see that most of the Epinions (so far) on Onelist.com are referring to it's use for hobbies and other informational groups. Where as I use it mostly to keep up to date on the many on-line journals that I like to read. I get a simple little note in my e-mail that tells me they've updated, and then I know to go read the entry at the site.
Onelist allows for simple set-up of an e-mail list. You can choose for it to me a notification list only (where only the list owner or other specified moderators can post), a moderated list (all messages must be pre-approved [ie: appropriate to the subject] by a moderator), or an open list. Also each individual member can set it's own settings, choosing to get individual e-mails, a daily digest of the messages, or only see message at the Onelist site.
I see onelist as a great attribute to my journal. This way readers don't have to continually come back to see when I've updated, they can wait for the e-mail to remind them. It's also been a possible connection for family and highschool friends. You can set up an alumni list to keep up on everyone's adventures. Families can set up lists to send out notices to each other, without having to pick up the phone for every little step.
