Wow, this review is sure outdated... I mean, it was written in 2000 and it's now four years later, and I must say that eMachines is a much improved company. Back in 2000, I purchased an eMachines 333i, and I was actually very satisfied with it. eMachines is by no means a shady, scam-pulling company, and they are currently one of the world's largest manufacturers of computers. When I got my 333i, 32 Megabytes of RAM was more than enough for me, and you must understand that some people really don't need that much power, which is why they go for eMachines. If you want a high-end, powerful computer, go for Dell. eMachines specializes in cheap stuff.

Well, my computer actually *was* defective, since eMachines in the year 2000 were not exactly known for reliability. I sent it to the eMachines plant and got a more powerful machine back in about a month. I've used that computer for four years since, with no problem at all.

I finally decided to get a better computer last year, and bought a brand new eMachines with a blistering 2.6 gHz intel proccessor, whopping 256 mb of ram, 64 mb intel graphics card, with broadband, dvd, cd writer, and everything else you could ever want. It's been working great for more than a year now, never even freezing once. THe best part? I got it for $200. Tech support is now much more improved, and you no longer have to send your PC to their factory on your own expense.

Thank you, eMachines. They may have once been a cheap, unreliable company, but that's no longer true. Their computers are fantastic.

I was so happy to read a review that made me so mad. Mad because of the nasty scam that this company is trying to pull on people. Happy because of the wonderful review you wrote, I appreciated every word of it plus you delivered plenty of information, in other words your review had plenty of bang for the buck.

I was just surprised that when I went to write a comment that there weren't already 5 or 6 written. This is an epinion designed to provoke a response...and thats good.

Keep on keepin on
