I had been using good old wnsftp to ftp all of my files when a friend of mine busted up laughing at my lack of computer savvy. I had never questioned why it took me so long to ftp files from my computer to whatever server, I just figured everyone did it that way. When in doubt, search for software that can make your life easier...enter CuteFTP.

After downloading from Tucows, I was surprised to find out how easy it was to configure and even easier to use. You can use CuteFTP for anonymous logins as well as configure it so that it asks for passwords every time you use it. The password feature is fantastic considering I use it for work and have gotten everyone else to use it as well. The one downside to CuteFTP is the user interface; it could be very overwhelming if its the first time you've used it.

The Connection Wizard is also very helpful in getting new accounts set up. There's a visual queue so you can see the files you're transferring, and you can stop uploads/downloads in the middle of transfer. I really like the Quick Connect feature as well because of
its ease of use when you need a fast ftp.

CuteFTP is FTP software at its best. The price is great and well worth
it for this program. I am thoroughly impressed by this program and would suggest it to anyone looking for a good ftp program.

***Oh, and remember, there probably IS software out there that will help you with something you're having problems with....***
