The Toshiba Portegé 7020CT looks absolutely fabulous. Great design, very thin, weighs 4 pounds and has a beautiful LCD. Alltho this is not the reason why I would buy a laptop. I would buy one that is functional which the Portegé isn't. Sure it's very thin but I'd presonally prefer a laptop that has a build-in cd-rom/floppy drive which the Portegé hasn't. Basicly the laptop would be only functional with the docking station (build-in floppy disk and DVD-ROM) but that would take a away the only thing that obviously really matters to Toshiba in this case and that would be the non-thickness!
The laptop works fine with Red Hat Linux 6.0 but I've had some issues with NT and windows 98 (chrashes!). All in all it's a pretty standard performance laptop that just looks very good. Advisable for traveling and deaf (<MAKES A LOT OF NOISE! and the speaker sound is terrible!) rich (<too expensive!) people . If your not one of those buy a Tecra or Sallite
