I purchased this program only because it was at the register and on sale for just $4.99 with another purchase. It is the best $5 I have spent.
My grandson who is 6, and just starting the first grade had been having trouble with his reading and I had been looking for an aide for him that he could work with. This turned out to be perfect for him.

I was surprised to find a bonus CD included in the package for such a low price. The first CD was Reader Rabbit's Reading, an interactive, very easy for him to follow along with. The characters are very entertaining, while teaching him his phonics. The animation is great, lots of color and little games to play as he learns. He did not even realize this was a learning tool, not a game. I can hardly get him to quit, once he gets started, his schoolwork has improved drastically. I am very impressed with the results he has received from using this program.

The bonus CD has 2 stories, The child can pick one and read along with the characters, or have one of the characters read it to him.

I will purchase the next level of Reader Rabbit for him at Christmas
