I have had this hardware for almost a year now. I Really like it. Me and my wife are in home computer junkies and were fighting over the phone line all the time. So we bought this hardware and read on how to connect the two computers to one internet connection. After some research we found a little program call pppshare. Installing the hardware was very simple and
if you follow instructions fairly wll you can setup the tcpip section very
easy aslo. A word of warning if you are very new to computers and only know very little about them get a friend to assist you that might know the basics of win98 . The second software we had to get was socksCap32 this allows your web browsers to act as if you were online without being in a proxy settings. Some of the websites that use secure areas in a regular proxy setting the website want come up so i had to use socksCap32 to view those sites. I say this as a home learned computer junkie. There might be something that others might have been taught to get past the secure issue.
I use these software selections because there free!!!! As for the hardware its great We use both computers and when I need something of mine I can get it quick from my computer when Im on hers. I have not tried any other hardware like this but I love mine. I hope this helped to give you a Ideal of how good this software is.
