I bought my Acer Aspire on the advice of a friendly Wal-Mart customer. I knew nothing about computers, only that I wanted one. This man assured me that Acer Aspire was the easiest to use when you know nothing about computers, and he was right.
My Acer came with a built in help to setting up my computer. It walked me through step by step instructions of what i needed to do. It also offered what is called a Time Machine, so that if I made an error while operating, I could click this, and it would take the machine back like it was five minutes before. Since my whole family uses this Acer, this was helpful. My 10 yr old daughter sits down and installs her game programs alone.
I have yet to find anything that I don't like about my computer. I have had it for one year, and it is still plenty fast for me. The one time I did have trouble, I called the Acer tech support, and got help right away. But the cause of the problem was from our own error. I have recommended Acer to everyone I know buying a home computer. And the next computer I buy will be an Acer product.
As far as accessories go, I have had some trouble locating things such as joysticks, and cameras in my price range. They hook up by the USB plugs, and I have heard that is better quality, but more costly.
