I bought this card when I customized my new computer. I wanted a card that would give me 128 bit graphics and great game graphics quality. that is what I got. I have been extremely satisfied with the graphics resolution in gaming. But in DVD's I felt there was something left to be desired there were slight breaks in the picture which were really annoying. Granted it may have been the processor but i am not sure. I mean 450 with no other apps running should be sufficient but i don't know for sure.
I was impressed with the graphics I experienced in Gameday 2000 and Half Life. I felt it really brought the games to life. If you want a great gaming chip then this a terrific graphics card. but for movies and DVD you might want to try somethinga little bit better. This is only if you want amazing quality of course. The card still plays better than a VCR, but it falls short of the quality DVD is capable of attaining.
